The City Council of the City of Pascagoula convened a recessed regular meeting on May 19, 2026. Councilman Chris Blythe moved to adopt the consent agenda, which Councilman Carlos Stallworth Sr. seconded; the council voted with Mayor Jay Willis, Councilwomen Amy Brandenstein and Darcie Young, and Councilmen Stallworth, Fornett and Blythe voting AYE; Councilman Matt Parker was recorded as ABSENT. The consent agenda items are spread upon the minutes.
Councilman Blythe introduced the Docket of Claims for May 19, 2026; Councilwoman Darcie Young seconded. The council adopted the order by roll call with the same AYE votes and Parker ABSENT.
Councilman Blythe recused himself from a subsequent discussion and temporarily left the meeting. The Payroll Docket for May 19, 2026, was introduced by Councilman Felix Fornett, seconded by Councilman Carlos Stallworth Sr., and adopted by roll call: Mayor Willis, Brandenstein, Stallworth, Fornett, Young and Parker voting AYE; Blythe recorded as RECUSED. Afterward, Councilman Blythe returned to the meeting.
Councilwoman Darcie Young offered condolences for Milton Ray “M.R.” Cole and Susan Ezell and asked the body to remember graduates and Memorial Day; Councilman Blythe noted three new businesses would open in the city. Councilman Fornett moved to adjourn, Councilman Stallworth seconded, and the council voted AYE; the meeting adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
