Putney Selectboard approves $129,471.59 in warrants, backs homelessness-alliance letter and acknowledges vicious-dog notice

Peg Alden read the letter into the record; two changes were requested and the board passed a motion, moved by Aileen Tulloch and seconded by Peg Alden, to support the revised letter.
The board reviewed a Green Mountain Power notification about distribution-line work on West Hill; the item was acknowledged during the meeting with no further action recorded. The board also discussed a proposed ReArch groundbreaking and a temporary helicopter landing on Alice Holoway Drive planned for March 2025; the Town Manager noted other landing sites exist in town and recommended ReArch speak with the Putney COOP and appear at a future meeting to finalize plans and signage.
Town Manager presented a letter from the Windham County Sheriff's Office regarding a vicious dog (referenced: Ashley Finger). Fletcher Proctor read the letter into the record; Aileen Tulloch moved to acknowledge the letter, Bex Slattery seconded, and the motion passed.
During the manager's report the board was reminded that the third property-tax payment is due March 14, 2025 by 4:30 p.m.; the manager's figures list $1,791,324.54 currently due and delinquent taxes of $89,231.29 (of which $52,519.55 is from prior tax years). The board also noted upcoming procurement items: an RFP for utilities, a mowing RFP before the next meeting, and planned RFQ/RFPs for wastewater and well services.
