The River Ridge Community Development District appointed resident Keith Merrill to fill the vacant Seat 1 and administered the Oath of Office during its Oct. 22 regular meeting.
Chair Bob Schultz nominated Keith Merrill, and the motion to appoint him was approved "with all in favor." Mrs. Cleo Adams, a State of Florida notary, administered the oath and staff and counsel reviewed required ethics training, Form 1 disclosure and the Sunshine Law obligations for public officers.
Shortly afterward the Board adopted Resolution 2025‑01 to elect officers for the district. The resolution, which passed by motion and a recorded unanimous voice vote, named Bob Schultz as Chair, Terry Mountford as Vice Chair and listed Kurt Blumenthal, Robert Twombly and Keith Merrill as Assistant Secretaries; the resolution also removed James Gilman as an Assistant Secretary.
District counsel and the manager explained the post‑appointment compliance steps new supervisors must take, including filing required ethics forms and attending training. The Board confirmed the next meeting date had been rescheduled to Nov. 19, 2024.
No dissent or abstentions were recorded in the meeting minutes for the appointment or the resolution.
