Charlie Ezequelle of ReArch told the board the company intends a temporary closure of Alice Holoway Drive for approximately 12 months to block traffic during construction work hours for safety. Ezequelle said ReArch has coordinated with the MOOver, Putney Coop and school bus operators and that barriers will be moveable for emergencies and after-hours access. He also said MedEvac is working on an alternate landing spot.
The motion to close Alice Holoway Drive beginning April 20, 2025 at 6 a.m. until April 20, 2026 at 6 p.m., with the road to be opened by ReArch when safety allows, was made by Aileen Tulloch and passed. The minutes record that the closure is temporary, not permanent, and that the town and contractor will communicate with affected users including the food bank, which the minutes say is still seeking solutions.
The board did not record any formal conditions beyond the dates and the moveable-barrier approach; the minutes note that after-hours and emergency access will be preserved.
