Putney board approves liquor license renewals and $192,895 in bills; FEMA grant to cover generators

Eric McGowan opened the Liquor Control Commissioners meeting and Town Clerk Jon Johnson presented renewals and a one-time license request for Alice Laughlin. The commissioners approved renewals for Putney Coop, Putney General Store, Next Stage Arts and a one-time license for Laughlin after a motion by Aileen Tulloch and a second from Peg Alden.
At the Selectboard meeting the board approved payroll dated March 21, 2025 in the amount of $19,944.07 and accounts payable dated March 8 through March 21, 2025 totaling $192,895.13. The minutes note that the accounts payable figure includes purchases of generators and that a FEMA grant will pay for most of that expense. Aileen Tulloch moved to approve the warrants upon completion of review; Peg Alden seconded and the motion passed.
