The Putney Selectboard approved several administrative measures at its Jan. 8 meeting, including warrants, a fund-balance policy and a change to the social-agency line item.
Minutes and warrants: The board approved minutes from Dec. 11 and Dec. 18, 2024. It approved payroll warrants dated Dec. 27, 2024 ($26,133.29) and Jan. 10, 2025 ($22,337.51). Accounts payable approved included Dec. 14–27, 2024 ($1,512,247.59), which the minutes note contains a second payment to the school district, and Dec. 28, 2024–Jan. 10, 2025 ($56,308.01), which includes quarterly dumpster fees. Eric McGowan moved to approve the warrants upon completion of review; the motion passed.
Putney Place and social-agency funding: Katy Emond, representing Putney Place, confirmed the organization is a for-profit entity and would need to petition separately to receive town appropriation funds. Fund Balance Policy: Peg Alden moved to accept the draft Fund Balance Policy; Eric McGowan seconded and the motion passed.
Executive session and adjournment: The board entered executive session at 7:46 p.m. to discuss a Community Service award and the Town Report dedication and exited at 8:18 p.m. The next regular meeting was set for Jan. 22, 2025, and the board adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
