Council refers data center zoning review and ATV/UTV traffic ordinance to committees

Council members confirmed the planning commission referral will be placed on the August planning commission agenda, which a council member confirmed meets the first Monday at 4 p.m. The chair accepted the referrals and the council proceeded without objection.
The council did not discuss substance of proposed zoning language or potential regulatory changes to ATV/UTV traffic in the council meeting; both referrals were assignments for committee review. The planning commission and Public Works committee are expected to conduct more detailed review at their respective meetings and return recommendations if any ordinance changes are proposed.
