Ferladel said she witnessed confrontational incidents and reported a neighbor’s call to police, but that responding officers told the neighbor enforcement was limited without signage or ordinance language. "We really do need to look at our existing ordinance and see if we can tweak it to keep bikes out of there," she said, adding the presence of children, dogs and strollers makes the trails incompatible with off‑road bikes. She also raised related downtown parking problems and construction vehicle parking on medians.
Committee members acknowledged the concerns and noted the issue would be considered alongside enforcement and signage work; no formal action or referral was recorded in the meeting.
