Proctor Selectboard signs $74,538.49 in orders, authorizes town manager to sign Public Works mutual aid agreement; manager reports fire and sludge‑removal bids

The Proctor Selectboard reviewed and signed orders totaling $74,538.49 and unanimously authorized Town Manager Judy Frazier to sign a Public Works Mutual Aid Agreement on behalf of the town at its April 28 meeting.

Albert Wenta, Selectboard member, moved to authorize the Town Manager to sign and be Proctor's duly authorized representative; Linda Doty, Selectboard member, seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. The minutes record that the Selectboard reviewed and signed orders totaling $74,538.49 during the meeting.

In departmental reports Town Manager Judy Frazier reported a number of operational items: forms and maps for reclassification were sent April 21; a garage and barn were destroyed in a fire on Cain Street on April 19; a resident at 1 Columbian Ave requested the town pay half the cost to repair a basement with water backup; Bendig is paving East Street for a water repair; two contractors inspected the lagoons for sludge removal on April 18 and a third vendor visited April 23, with bids due May 15; and a new Beaver Pond map was shared. The sheriff's report in the packet listed five tickets, three warnings, zero arrests and $814 in fines; the minutes note a break‑in at 61 Main St and a separate April incident involving four‑wheelers on Easter Sunday.
