Christy Gutt, speaking on behalf of the town of Ocean Ridge, said the HOA has completed an engineer’s report, hired a contractor and is in the permitting process. "They're continuing to show good faith efforts to obtain their permits and complete the work," Gutt said, noting the group submitted eight permit applications and five have already been issued.
The town indicated it supports the extension request; the magistrate reviewed the stipulation for extension and agreed order, which had been signed by the respondent and the town attorney, and entered the order during the hearing. The order moves the compliance date from the previously scheduled June 1, 2026 deadline to Dec. 1, 2026.
The extension was described as an agreed disposition rather than a contested enforcement ruling: the town presented no objection to the respondents’ request and stated no additional evidence was required for the record. The magistrate approved the April 7, 2026 meeting minutes earlier in the hearing and then moved on to the next case.
The town did not provide a revised schedule for construction milestones beyond confirming permit issuance progress. The magistrate’s order will be entered into the record and provided to the parties.
