At a select board workshop, members revised municipal building usage rules for the Limerick municipal building, the downstairs community room and Brick Town Hall.
Staff member proposed regular hours for the community room of 9 a.m.–12 p.m. and 12:30–4 p.m.; the board agreed and directed staff to update the policy. Members also confirmed no keys will be routinely issued for the downstairs community room; where keys are issued, refund of the security deposit will be withheld until keys are returned. The board agreed that the stove in the downstairs kitchen should be prohibited from use and that liability for property damage above $100 will be billed directly to the user.
On Brick Town Hall, members discussed a $100 security deposit and user fees and moved to limit rentals to Limerick residents only, with residents charged a $50 fee (and nonresidents removed from the rental schedule). Staff said they would standardize room names (media room/meeting room/community room), verify maximum occupancy figures, and copy the Brick Town Hall application for use with the community room so users sign an agreement acknowledging responsibility for cleanup and potential charges.
Staff will update the usage agreement forms to match the revised policies and return the materials for approval and signatures.
