City hears update on Gateway Project testing; samples to be analyzed by Pensacola lab

The mayor asked that the design team's letter be entered into the meeting record; the board approved a motion to spread that letter across the minutes. The update was presented as part of unfinished business and the board thanked the resident who brought the concern forward.
The board did not take additional corrective action at the meeting beyond recording the design team’s letter, but counsel and staff established a testing timeline and contractor responsibility for any required remediation.
