After hearing argument in the TR discretionary review, Commissioner Aurora Burse asked parties to supply updated status information about the related trial‑court dependency matters.
Kristen Bellore said the mother agreed to a dependency and disposition order in April and that the father's dependency fact‑finding trial is set for 8:30 a.m. on July 24, 2026. Ben Norman, representing the Puyallup Tribe, reported new domestic‑violence charges as to both parents but acknowledged those matters are outside the appellate record; the bench said it would not consider out‑of‑record allegations for the appellate review.
The court instructed counsel to provide notice to the clerk or case manager if trial‑court developments occur while the appellate matter is pending.
