Chair Steinhour and the Town of Richford Selectboard on April 20 voted unanimously to refer three zoning permit violations to the town attorney and to sign a settlement resolving one case on E. Richford Slide Road.
Acting Zoning Administrator Karen Cangelosi told the board she had three cases involving work performed without permits and asked that they be referred to legal counsel. "Selectman Fletcher made a motion to send the violations for no permits to the attorney," the record shows; Selectman Joesph Desmarais seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Separately, Town Administrator Marissa Tessier presented a settlement agreement for property on E. Richford Slide Road. Under the terms described to the board, the property owner agreed to pay $2,200 in attorney fees and to clean up the property. Chair Steinhour moved to sign the settlement agreement; the motion was seconded by Selectman Desmarais and passed unanimously.
The board did not record additional penalties or a compliance timeline in the minutes beyond the settlement terms. The town attorney will now be able to proceed with any recommended enforcement steps and to monitor compliance with the settlement.
