Eric McGowan moved to move $205,736.24 from the FEMA fund balance into the Highway Capital Reserve; Nate Snell seconded and the motion passed. The minutes record the motion and its passage but do not list individual roll-call vote tallies.
The board reviewed operating budgets ahead of Town Meeting. Emily Zervas, Putney Public Library director, joined Janice Baldwin of the Library Board of Trustees to present the library's budget request for consideration. Town Manager Karen Astley and Fire/EMS representative Brian Harlow reviewed the general-fund portion of the Fire/EMS budget. The town manager also presented proposed sewer and water budgets and led discussion on appropriations for social agencies and cemetery maintenance.
Draft Town Meeting articles were reviewed and the board noted upcoming expirations of elected positions and vacancies on boards and committees that will be part of Town Meeting materials. The meeting recessed briefly from 7:15 to 7:23 p.m. Audit results from RHR Smith were tabled until the Jan. 8, 2025 meeting. The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. after a motion from Eric McGowan and a second from Nate Snell.
