Conservation commission approves ConCom flags at 288 Chase Road, defers Meadow Shores certificate of compliance

The Dartmouth Conservation Commission voted July 21 to approve four conservation flags placed at 288 Chase Road following a July 15 site visit and to continue a certificate of compliance (COC) request for 1 Meadow Shores until the August 4 meeting pending receipt of an as‑built drawing.
Jennifer (staff) said the July site visit found a small wetland resource area at the rear of the 288 Chase Road parcel and that four flags (ConCom 1 through 4) were hung to mark the resource area and the 100‑foot buffer; staff recommended approving the flags so the record reflects the line in case further percolation tests or work are needed. The commission moved and voted to approve the determination portion of the 288 Chase Road site inspection and to accept the flags in the field.
On the Meadow Shores request (file 15‑2759), staff reported the site is "fully stabilized" and that the engineer submitted a statement of substantial compliance but an as‑built plan filed with the Natural Heritage and Endangered Species Program was not yet received by staff. Jennifer said, "I'd like to see it since it's something that I wasn't here for when it was constructed," and recommended continuing the COC request until the as‑built can be reviewed. The commission voted unanimously to continue the COC request to the August 4, 2026 meeting.
The approvals and continuances were procedural; staff will request the outstanding as‑built and will record the approved flags to the commission's field records.
