The West Stockbridge Planning Board said it will review proposed revisions to the towns Housing Production Plan after receiving a letter and a revised Chapter 5 from the Affordable Housing Trust.
Chair Dana Bixby told the board that Chris Powell, chair of the Affordable Housing Trust, sent proposed changes intended to respond to prior planning board input. The planning board recalled having pushed back on an earlier draft and said it wanted more aggressive plans for producing affordable housing than the first version proposed. By consensus the planning board agreed to review the AHTs materials at its next meeting on July 21, 2026; Bixby said she will notify Powell of that schedule.
No formal vote on the HPP revisions was taken at the July 7 meeting. Board members said they needed additional time to read the proposed edits before taking any action. The planning boards next meeting is July 21; the board indicated that a substantive discussion or formal action on the HPP may occur at that meeting.
