Isanti County board approves routine consent items, contracts and appointments

The Isanti County Board of Commissioners on July 7 approved a range of routine actions including personnel items, plats and permits, multiple contracts and claims totaling $968,717.51.
By unanimous vote the board approved a consent agenda that ratified several hires and personnel changes—among them full-time Social Worker hires, temporary election judges, an internal promotion to Social Services Supervisor, status changes from probationary to regular status, several resignations and a retirement effective Oct. 31, 2026. The consent agenda also approved final plats for Maple Ridge Pines, Gracie Acres and Black Fox Farm; reimbursement of $750 to Dalbo Township for a cleanup day; several exempt-gambling permits and a 2026 tobacco license for BP Isanti; and multiple utility permits for providers including East Central Energy, Excel Energy and Connexus Energy.
The board approved a Grade Crossing and Sidewalk Construction and Maintenance Agreement with BNSF Railway for improvements at the CR 54/Central Drive East railroad crossing and authorized the county to pay final BNSF costs attributable to the county. The board also accepted the low bid from DW Companies and entered a $26,000 contract to construct a parking area and trails at Phillip G. Nyman County Park, to be funded with donations.
The sheriff’s department was authorized to purchase an all-terrain vehicle from Northway Sports for $9,800; the minutes state this will be funded with an $11,824.76 ATV grant awarded to Isanti County. The board approved a 2026–2027 portable restroom contract with Absolute Portable Restrooms and other routine vendor and permit actions recorded in the consent agenda.
Chairman Alan Duff appointed Todd Christensen and Steve Westerberg to the Primary and General Election Canvassing Boards as required by statute. The board adjourned at 10:10 a.m.
