Susan Bunting, who had earlier urged use of capital reserve funds for rehabilitation work, thanked donors and said the contributions will help advance work on the building. The board moved, seconded and approved acceptance of the funds unanimously.
Board members said they appreciated the community support and noted the donations are designated exclusively for repairs to the Firehouse Community Center; staff will follow accounting procedures for restricted funds.
