Selectboard Chair Scott Henkels moved to adopt the budget; Vice Chair Kevin Gish seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Finance Manager Lucy Pierpont presented recent changes and Treasurer Deb Jones described clarifications on assigned fund-balance tracking recommended by the town's independent auditor.
Town Administrator Nicola Shipman said that, with budget approval, staff will work with the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission (TRORC) and finance staff to formalize a Capital Budget Plan for acceptance in early 2026. Shipman also confirmed that the FY25 final independent auditor's report is posted on the town website and that required Town Report mailings will be sent by statutory deadlines, with physical copies available at the Baxter Memorial Library and the Town Clerk's office.
Pierpont and Jones emphasized accounting clarifications to track assigned fund balances consistent with auditor guidance; the board recorded those clarifications during the motion. No further public comment or amendments to the budget were recorded.
