Griffo initial plan moves toward preliminary review after informal presentation

On Dec. 9, 2025 the Sharon Planning Commission received an informal initial plan review for property owned by Joe Griffo. Representative Joe Honkala presented the submission materials and explained possible future sales of the proposed subdivided parcels.
Surveyor Robert (Rob) Townsend answered commissioners’ questions about the property’s layout, ownership history and the identity of abutters. After reviewing the materials the Commission raised no further questions and instructed Honkala to coordinate with Planning Administrator Alexandra Babicki to prepare for Preliminary Plan Approval.
Dee Gish moved to end the Initial Plan Review; Sue Sellew seconded and the motion was approved unanimously. The applicant’s representative, Joe Honkala, left the meeting following the action.
Next steps: the applicant will work with the planning office to file for Preliminary Plan Approval, as directed by the Commission.
