At its June 1 meeting, the Sandgate Selectboard voted unanimously to purchase the Cash Receipts module for NEMRC after a consultant recommended the change to improve accounting and reconciliation.
Minute taker Jessica Lewis summarized advice from Jordon Plummer of consulting firm Sullivan Powers, who reviewed the town's accounting practices and recommended implementing NEMRC’s Cash Receipts module to allow better tracking and reconciliation of funds. Selectboard member Linda Schmidt moved to approve the purchase; Selectboard member Joe Nolan seconded and the motion passed with all members voting in favor.
Board members agreed to work through additional smaller recommendations from Plummer’s assessment in coming weeks; Jessica Lewis will contact NEMRC to arrange adding the module.
