Estacada council adopts 2026–27 budget and accepts state shared revenues

The Estacada City Council voted unanimously to adopt the city’s 2026–27 budget and to accept state-shared municipal revenues. City Manager Melanie presented the staff report and said the budget had been approved previously by the budget committee and was now before the council for adoption.
Melanie said, “when you approve this budget, it'll also approve the salary scale that will take effect July 1.” The council held the required public hearings; no members of the public requested to speak on either item.
Councilors moved and seconded the resolutions. The clerk conducted roll call and the motions passed with all members voting in favor. Council members noted the budget and revenue resolution follow the county and state processes and said staff would post the adopted documents on the city website for public reference.
Why it matters: Adoption sets the city’s spending plan and tax categorizations for the coming fiscal year and finalizes the salary scale staff said will become effective July 1. The vote allows the city to receive state-shared revenues that fund municipal services.
