Staff said leasing reduces battery/charger maintenance and recommended modest green‑fee increases next year (presently $10 for nine holes, $15 for 18) to help cover the cost of leased carts.
Council members expressed general support for pursuing lease terms but asked staff to return with the full lease documents, municipal‑lease alternatives, and a concrete plan for proposed fee changes to ensure the city covers the ongoing cost. No final contract was approved; staff will continue negotiations and present options for formal action.
