The Hills City Council on July 13 approved administrative items intended to keep the city in compliance with state law and to manage municipal records.
Council Member Knebel moved to adopt Resolution 2026-23 designating the city's official public posting locations for meeting notices and agendas pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 21 as amended by House File 2490; Council Member Hudachek seconded and the roll-call vote was unanimous.
Council Member Henderson moved to adopt Resolution 2026-24 authorizing destruction of certain city records; Council Member Rummelhart seconded and the council voted 4–0 to approve.
The council also scheduled a public hearing on an annexation request submitted by Anita Skriver for Aug. 24, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The meeting began with approval of the consent agenda, which included minutes, claims and financial reports.
