The superintendent said district counsel had reviewed the draft resolution and confirmed the approach would allow citations on private district property; he presented the proposal as a first reading and said he would return to the board for a second reading at the next monthly meeting before final adoption. "I recommend the board approve of the 1st reading of the proposed resolution," the superintendent said.
Board members asked whether the measure addressed minor parking infractions and traffic safety around school drop‑off areas and the superintendent said implementation details would be clarified in the second reading. The motion for first reading passed by voice vote.
