The board voted to approve RZ191144 (a request to rezone portions of a 19.26-acre tract for residential use at 740 Eagle Perch Road), RZ191152 (3.64 acres at Little Fisher Creek Road), RC191161 (1.04 acres from rural residential to highway business for a proposed Christian day care) and other requests presented from planning staff and supported by the county planning commission. Commissioners discussed the planning commission recommendations and approved the rezonings by voice vote.
The board also approved appointing Phyllis Poole to the Pickens County defects board (a five-year term expiring 06/30/2031) to replace Martha Poole, who served 35 years on that board. The board approved several sets of minutes (one commissioner abstained on minutes from a meeting they had not attended) and approved executive-session minutes as presented.
Commissioners directed staff to prepare appointment paperwork and file required documentation with the appropriate boards.
