Pickens County approves two airport leases following RFPs for H18 and H19 parcels

Chair Thor Hodge presented staff's recommendation for H18, a 7,980-square-foot parcel at the west taxiway end. The selected proposer (identified in the staff report) offered an annual rent presented to the board of approximately $5,009.85; the motion to follow staff’s recommendation passed unanimously.
For hangar H19 (about 43,140 square feet), the board approved a lease with the top-ranked proposer, which the staff presentation showed would yield an annual rent of about $32,355. Commissioners asked no substantive questions before both motions carried on voice votes.
The board directed staff to execute the agreements and circulate the final documents for signatures. No public opposition was recorded in the meeting record.
