The board accepted donations intended to support student programs: $1,500 from Pheasants Forever to FCCLA; $4,678 from Cats Pride to cover the remaining amount for a new Bearcat mascot; $400 from the National FFA Association for an FFA shelter project; and $500 from the Kansas Association of American Educators to fund a classroom reading library. The donations were approved unanimously.
Administrators presented and the board approved an out-of-state field trip request for FBLA students to attend FBLA Nationals in San Antonio, Texas, June 28–July 2. The trip approval passed 6-0.
Board members also approved removal of the "Use Your Own Device" policy from all school handbooks to align with state guidance (listed in the minutes as Senate Substitute for House Bill 2299); the motion passed 6-0. The board approved continuing membership in the Kansas Association of School Boards for $14,043 and adopted open-enrollment guidelines noting that capacity will remain flexible.
