Ellsworth Board adopts 2026-27 calendar, updates handbooks and OKs summer food program and FCCLA travel

Board President Gina McGowan moved to approve the 2026–2027 calendar and to tentatively approve the 2027–2028 calendar; the motion passed 5-0. Cynthia Edgerle moved to adopt uniform handbook language addressing smart devices, school-appointed personnel, ParentSquare communications and suspension language; the board approved the language 5-0 and minutes state it will apply across handbooks.
On student supports and activities, the board approved OPAA! to operate a summer food program for summer 2026 using a transfer from FCCK, and approved FCCLA’s out-of-state field trip to Washington, D.C., July 5–11, 2026. Both motions carried 5-0.
