Nikki Thompson, Glynn County procurement analyst, opened bids for IFB26-040, the county's 2026 resurfacing and restriping road project, and read three proposals. She said procurement and the project manager will review documents and that award recommendations will go to the finance committee and the full board.
The bids read for IFB26-040 were: APAC Atlantic Incorporated (Savannah, Ga.) — $3,298,165.92; Reeves Construction Company (Savannah, Ga.) — $3,801,964.77; and the Scrubs company (Waycross, Ga.) — $3,581,204.29. Thompson confirmed receipt of three bids and said a bid tabulation will be posted to the county website when available.
Why it matters: These contracts fund county road work and determine which contractors will carry out resurfacing and striping on Glynn County roads. The procurement statement read during the opening emphasizes that responsiveness, not price alone, will drive any recommendation.
Next steps: Staff will validate bidder paperwork for accuracy and completeness, prepare a bid tabulation for public posting and make a recommendation to the finance committee and then the full board. No awards were announced at the opening.
