Event-center owner and resident urge clarity on event limits and county records

He argued the staff report's broader language allowed the hall to host public events but that the ordinance language as enacted limits "open public events" with entertainment as the main attraction to no more than four times per calendar year. He said he provided the staff report for the commissioners' information and was not requesting action.
Justin Bridal, a resident, pressed the commissioners for an update on county records from an entity he referred to as "Tease" or "T's," saying the organization has not provided county records, has not demonstrated member meetings required by its bylaws and state law, and yet receives about $100,000 per year in county financial assistance. Bridal asked the commissioners, pointing to the board president's authority, to obtain the records and said he hoped for change by next month. No response from the board is recorded in the transcript.
