County OKs T-Mobile SHSP application, $112,000 sheriff equipment award and $7,000 health grant

Sharon then asked the board to accept an award letter for a $112,000 2025 SHSP grant to purchase MX908 portable equipment that can rapidly screen for trace explosives or chemical warfare agents in jail or patrol situations; the grant requires no county match. Commissioners approved acceptance by voice vote.
Sharon also asked permission for the health department to receive $7,000 to support the fetal and infant mortality review team and community awareness events; the board approved that grant acceptance by voice vote.
