The Key Colony Beach City Commission unanimously approved a Planning & Zoning Board recommendation to allow the installation of a 33,000‑pound boat lift at 290 14th Street during a Nov. 21 public hearing at Marble Hall.
Building Official Tony Loreno told the commission the application met the city’s Land Development Regulations and recommended approval. "The application meets all requirements for the city’s Land Development Regulations," Loreno said after being administered the oath of witness by City Clerk Silvia Roussin.
Planning & Zoning Board Chair Lancaster reported the board had recommended approval and noted a letter of consent from neighbors supporting the project. The applicant did not attend the hearing.
Commissioner Tom DiFransico moved to accept the Planning & Zoning Board recommendation; Vice‑Mayor Freddie Foster seconded. A roll call vote resulted in unanimous approval. Present for the vote were Mayor Joey Raspe, Vice‑Mayor Freddie Foster, Commissioners Tom Harding and Tom DiFransico, and Commissioner Doug Colonell (attending via Zoom).
There were no citizen comments, no disclosures of ex‑parte communications, and no other business. The public hearing opened at 9:30 a.m. and adjourned at 9:34 a.m.
