The Keystone Heights City Council voted to certify qualified candidates for the April 8, 2025 municipal election at a special meeting on Jan. 31.
Clerk Silva presented the names of qualifying candidates: Ryan Knight for Seat 1 (listed as unopposed and noted will not appear on the ballot), and Christine Thompson and Dave Welch for Seat 2. Councilman Tony Brown moved to certify the candidates as presented; Councilman Elston “Speedy” Kussler seconded the motion. The motion carried 3-0 with Mayor Nina Rodenroth and Councilman Dan Lewandowski absent.
The action formally records the candidates eligible for the upcoming municipal election; Clerk Silva announced the roster to the council during the meeting. Vice Mayor Christine Thompson called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. and adjourned it at 3:01 p.m.
