At its June 23 meeting the Grant County Commission approved several administrative items, including a motion to allow the commission president to sign the FY 2026 Forest Service Payment to States election and to allocate the state payment 100% as presented.
Commissioner Kevin P. Hagerty moved the forest-service payment action, which the commission approved unanimously. The commission also voted to begin a request-for-proposals process for IT services for fiscal year 2026–2027 (motion by Commissioner Scotty W. Miley; unanimously approved).
The commission approved the clerk’s actions listed in Exhibit A1 and the exonerations in Exhibit A2, and it unanimously approved Exhibit A3, a multi-page list of invoices that included a $189,949.75 payment to WV Corp Insurance. The invoice exhibit also recorded payments and reimbursements across funds for parks and recreation, elections, utilities, ambulance supplies and other county operations.
The minutes record the commission’s motions as unanimously approved. The meeting closed after the commission approved the expenses and adjourned.
