Officials said the contract refresh is intended to maintain continuity of call recordings and related emergency communications records used by the county’s OEM/911 operations. The authorization allows Alt to sign the contract; the recording system upgrade will proceed under the terms of the Carolina Recording Systems agreement.
The commission did not provide further cost breakdowns in the minutes. The contract authorization was recorded as approved and the county clerk will retain the signed agreement as a public record.
