Hoboken board proclaims historic season for Hoboken High School boys volleyball

Superintendent Dr. Christine Johnson read a proclamation commending Head Coach Felipe Fernandez and the team for a 25–5 record, multiple individual and team recognitions and, she said, the district's first state championship team in many years. The proclamation named several players and coaching staff and noted new single-game school records established during the season.
Coach Felipe Fernandez accepted the recognition and thanked the superintendent, board members and his coaching staff, calling the season a culmination of years of hard work, open gyms and persistence.
The board asked that the proclamation be displayed in the school so students and visitors can see the team's accomplishment. No formal action beyond recognition was taken.
The proclamation text and the list of named players and coaches were read on the record during the July meeting.
