It also highlighted Mandalay, a Burmese restaurant in Silver Spring, and introduced Mayul Modi, founder and executive director of the American Diversity Group, which provides weekend clinics and multilingual outreach to connect residents with county services.
After the reading of the AANHPI proclamation — which notes local demographic figures and affirms the month's theme — the council recessed for a luncheon in the Capital Crescent Trail Conference Room and announced it would return at 1:30 p.m.
