At its July 20 meeting, the Milton City Council approved a motion to amend the July 13 study‑session minutes to add language noting council concerns about private property rights, supporting data, regulatory implications and cost burdens for residents. Council Member McNally Martinez made the motion to edit the minutes and the council voted unanimously to approve the requested change.
The council then considered an appointment to the Public Works, Community Development and Public Safety Committee to fill a vacancy left by a resignation. Council Member Roberts moved to appoint Jill McNally Martinez to serve the remainder of 2026; the motion was seconded by Council Member Hall and passed unanimously.
The council also approved the remainder of the consent agenda (with the July 13 minutes removed for separate consideration). Those procedural approvals were completed by voice vote with no public comment recorded.
