Council members reviewed outstanding invoices from the City of Fort Lauderdale for Fire and EMS services at the Feb. 5 meeting. Staff reported several invoices dated as far back as 2022 that appear unpaid and noted some bills may have been mailed to incorrect addresses. The Village also believes some payments may already have been made.
Council directed Mayor Ray Nyhuis to obtain bank statements to verify payments and asked staff to contact the City of Fort Lauderdale to reconcile the outstanding balance and avoid duplicate payments. No payments were authorized at the meeting; the actions were limited to reconciliation steps.
