Todd County approves nearly $15.9 million in May warrants and additional payroll and HHS payments

The Todd County Board on June 16 approved May 2026 Auditor warrants totaling $15,871,911.86, Commissioner warrants totaling $166,223.42, Health & Human Services warrants totaling $127,422.34 and HHS SSIS warrants totaling $150,638.96. The approvals were recorded in the minutes as unanimous roll-call votes.

The auditor warrants list a range of payments including large vendor disbursements (for example, Central Specialties Inc. for $2,090,332.90), payroll-related payments via Paycom and multiple school district and city pass-throughs. The minutes also itemize dozens of vendors and intergovernmental payments to cities, townships and school districts; the full vendor list and totals are printed in the meeting packet attached to the minutes.

The Board also approved routine consent-agenda personnel actions earlier in the meeting: the resignation of Public Works Equipment Operator Casey Poepping (effective June 25, 2026); resignation and hiring notices for other positions; and the hiring of Michael Wisniewski for the Emergency Management Director position and other staff hires and reassignments noted in the minutes. Those consent items were adopted by unanimous vote.

The minutes state that the preceding minutes were later approved by the Board at the Regular Board Meeting held July 7, 2026 and were signed by County Board Chair Bob Byers and Auditor-Treasurer Denise Gaida. No discussion or roll-call breakdown by individual commissioners was recorded in the minutes beyond the adoption of the motions and roll-call totals.
