Lazy Lake sets tentative millage at 6.5000 and adopts tentative 2024–25 budget

The Village of Lazy Lake Village Council voted to set a tentative millage rate of 6.5000 for fiscal year 2024–2025 and adopted a tentative budget at its Sept. 9 meeting. Councilmember Warren Nadeau moved to approve the millage rate; Councilmember Ray Nyhuis seconded. The motion to set the millage passed, 3-0; Councilmembers Jeff Grenell and Mark DiPaolo were recorded as absent for that vote.

The council then introduced Resolution 2024-04, adopting the tentative budget for fiscal year 2024–2025. Councilmember Nadeau moved to approve the tentative budget; Councilmember William Daugherty seconded. That motion passed, 3-0, with Councilmembers Grenell and DiPaolo again absent for the vote.

The resolutions direct village staff to publish notice and establish the time, date and place for a subsequent public hearing to consider the final millage rate and the village's final budget for 2024–2025; the minutes do not record the date of that final hearing. Separately, the council approved a consent agenda that included the Aug. 1, 2024 meeting minutes and ratification of electronic payments; that motion passed 4-0 with Councilmember Mark DiPaolo absent for the vote.
