The Village of Lazy Lake Council was informed that no opposing candidates filed for the available council positions, and therefore a March 10 special election is unnecessary. The council asked that the Supervisor of Elections be notified that the qualified candidates will assume their respective seats without an election.
The meeting record listed the following qualified candidates who will assume council positions: Ray Nyhuis (Mayor), Jeff Grenell (Councilmember), Arnold Aliff (Councilmember), William Daugherty (Councilmember), Dana Merrill Jr. (Councilmember) and Patrick Kaufman (Councilmember). No votes or further action was recorded at the meeting; the Supervisor of Elections will be notified as the administrative next step.
