Roman, the golf director, reported to the Harwich Golf Committee that the course is in "the best midseason shape" he has seen and that tee sheets are essentially full, with about 310–320 players listed on the T-sheet on busy days. "We're filled to capacity as we should be this time of year," he said, and he praised superintendents Sean Fernandez and Rob Donovan and the maintenance crew for timing sprays and upkeep.
On rounds and revenue, Roman said the course is "gonna be right on the 44,000 number" for annual rounds barring extreme weather, and he told the committee that annual-pass price increases last year ($50 for residents, $100 for nonresidents) helped raise revenue and improve the distribution of tee times. He said overflow requests from annual pass holders are low and most booking requests are being accommodated.
Committee members discussed pace-of-play data and GPS limitations; Roman noted the course’s GPS system tracks carts only and cited an average cart-based 18-hole time of about 4:09. The committee endorsed policies that give the superintendent discretion to place pins based on green condition rather than strictly following quadrant rules that constrain pin placement.
Chair closed discussion after asking whether there were other questions. Roman offered to answer follow-ups and the committee asked him to report back on specific metrics and vendor timing for range items next month.
