Council appoints Kristy Franklin to Greensburg Housing Authority; councilmember abstains
Summary
On July 6, 2026 the Greensburg City Council appointed Kristy Franklin to an unexpired term on the Greensburg Housing Authority ending December 31, 2028. The motion passed 4-0 with Councilmember Dave Vernon abstaining because of his employment with the housing authority.
Administrator Stacy Barnes told the council that Kristy Franklin had expressed interest in filling an unexpired term on the Greensburg Housing Authority that runs through December 31, 2028. Mark Trummel moved to approve the appointment and Wayne Keeton seconded the motion.
The council approved the appointment on a 4-0 vote with Councilmember Dave Vernon abstaining because of his employment with the Greensburg Housing Authority. No further conditions were placed on the appointment during the meeting.
