Floyd County supervisors approve juvenile detention agreement amendment, payroll adjustments and claims

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors at its July 14 meeting approved several administrative and intergovernmental items, including an amendment to the Chapter 28E agreement for the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center and routine financial approvals.
On a motion by Supervisor Boyd Campbell with Supervisor Frank Rottinghaus seconding, the board approved Resolution No. 31-26, authorizing an amendment to the Chapter 28E Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement between the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center and participating counties, and directed execution of the updated agreement and its filing with the Iowa Secretary of State. The motion carried 3-0.
The board also approved routine items: the meeting agenda, June 30, 2026 minutes, and claims for County #2848-2964 and Engineer #10763-10784. The minutes list vendor and service payments across county departments (selected entries include Calhoun-Burns inspection $89,505.00; Solutions support $145,757.74; Charles City services $40,359.99). The board approved a fireworks permit submitted by J&M Displays for a display at the Floyd County Fairgrounds on July 18, 2026.
The record notes scheduled six-month wage adjustments for Secondary Roads Equipment Operators II Bradley Bilharz and Mark Bailey to $27.25 per hour, effective July 12, 2026 and August 2, 2026 respectively, in accordance with the Secondary Roads union contract. The meeting adjourned at 9:49 a.m.
