Tyron Steere, Conservation Director, told the supervisors the Conservation Board —would like to withdraw the proposed ordinance and revisit the process at a later date.— On a motion by Supervisor Boyd Campbell with Supervisor Frank Rottinghaus seconding, the board discontinued readings of Ordinance 2026-02, "Establishing Rules and Regulations for Areas Under the Control of Floyd County Conservation," and directed that the ordinance process be restarted when the Conservation Board is prepared. The motion carried 3-0.
The action removes the ordinance from the current adoption process and defers any rulemaking until the Conservation Board resurfaces the item. The ordinance was described in the minutes as establishing rules and regulations for areas under the control of Floyd County Conservation; the full proposed ordinance text and any subsequent versions are available for inspection in the Floyd County Auditor's office.
