Following a closed session on personnel and litigation, the Borough of East Rutherford’s Mayor and Council reconvened on June 16 and took multiple personnel actions.
The council appointed the following as alternates to the Rent Control Board: Recel Ybanez, Tiffany Dobrygowski, Decker Shannon Cowan, Vincent Cawley and Amanda Force. Each appointment was adopted by motion.
The council approved hiring Amelia Daleo as a part-time secretary in the Fire Marshal’s office, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at $20 per hour, pending a successful background check. Councilman Dennis Monks moved the hire and the motion carried by unanimous vote.
The council also moved to increase the compensation for Acting Fire Marshal Tom Melillo to the same level as the prior Fire Marshal, with the raise effective June 22.
Minutes show the council approved these actions by recorded motion after reconvening; specific personnel paperwork and background-check steps were delegated to borough administration.
