East Rutherford approves sewer contract, DOT grant application, refunds and several administrative resolutions

The Borough of East Rutherford approved a series of consent-resolution items on June 16, including a contract award, grant application authorization and administrative financial actions.
Contract award: Resolution #104 awards the Sewer Cleaning, Televising and Maintenance contract to National Water Main Cleaning (1806 Newark Turnpike, Kearny, NJ) as the lowest conforming bidder for $315,597.50. The minutes state that the Borough Engineer and Borough Attorney reviewed bids and that the Chief Financial Officer certified funds were available.
Grant application: Resolution #105 authorizes submission of a New Jersey Department of Transportation grant application for the '2027-MA — Ann Street, Francis Street & Main Street Roadway Project' and authorizes the Mayor and Borough Clerk to execute the grant agreement if the award is made.
Tax refunds and interest waivers: Resolution #106 authorizes a tax refund of $31,812.52 to LVP East Rutherford LLC for Tax Court assessment reductions for 2024 and 2025. Resolutions #107 and #108 remove small interest charges of $7.03 and $19.93 respectively where payments were delayed for reasons recorded in the minutes (bank rejection and postal delay).
Intergovernmental agreements and grants: Resolution #110 approves entering a two-year county snowplow services agreement with Bergen County for the 2026–2028 winter seasons. Resolutions #113 and #114 authorize continued participation and execution of a three-year cooperative agreement to remain included in the Bergen County Community Development entitlement programs (CDBG, HOME, ESG) for fiscal years 2027–2029.
Licenses and MOU: Resolution #111 renews a list of borough liquor licenses for the 2026–2027 term (list in minutes). Resolution #112 authorizes an MOU with 2 CARLTON LLC permitting a developer connection to the borough stormwater system and sets a framework for cooperative development tied to the Lois Lane athletic fields.
